Charlotte Boyett-Compo kept me on the edge of my seat reading to find out what happens next in this thrilling series. There are plots and subplots galore in this series, but they’re never overwhelming. This is not a lighthearted read, instead, it is dark fantasy at its best as we discover just how much one man can endure. We also see just how evil and twisted some men may become if allowed to do so. But we also experience the best in human nature in the age-old battle of good versus evil. Honestly, I cannot wait to start the next book in this series and to find out how it all ends. This is a story, and series, that will stay with me for a long, long time and I highly recommend it.
