THE ROMANCE STUDIO

Reaper Owen Tohre suffers nightmares from his last assignment. He has taken some time away from the Citadel to try to come to terms with his experiences. He quickly finds his life spiraling out of control with his abuse of the drug tenerse. He is all alone when he hears a child screaming and goes to help. After saving the child he suffers a violent seizure and is left to the mercy of those that find him. Upon awakening he meets Rachel Lawrence and in her discovers his mate. But Rachel comes from a culture where women are not given any rights. Owen soon finds himself fighting against two very different but real forms of evil.

Tears of the Reaper, is an exciting and emotionally stirring romance and action adventure. This is Owens story and although it is possible to enjoy it as a stand alone, to better understand Owen it is recommended that the previous book in this series be read first. This paranormal futuristic adventure tale will thrill the readers with its highly imaginative storyline that includes vampires and shape-shifters.

Readers that have read the series know what has happened to Owen. He is in a lot of pain and finding life difficult. He is the youngest of the Reapers and he quickly becomes one that readers care about. His story is painful and it does not get much better. But through the pain comes a romance that touches the heart of the readers.

Of all the Reaper stories I have enjoyed the Western Wind Series the most. They combination of the old west background with the futuristic and paranormal elements truly makes for a fascinating tale. These strong reapers remind this reader of the old gunslinger dressed all in black with their whips and six shooters. The fact that sexy Reapers with their good looks and amazing skills are willing to suffer any amount of torment for their lady loves are sure to win the hearts of the readers and have them asking when the next in the series will be released. I highly encourage the readers to add Tears of the Reaper, Book 4 of the Western Wind series to their reading list.

JUST EROTIC ROMANCE REVIEWS

Tears Of The Reaper is the fourth book within the WesternWind series, and while it is considered a stand-alone book, it is recommended they be read in order to fully understand the plot. Several of the characters from the previous books are seen again, with many of the preceding plot lines intertwining and becoming more complex. The plot moves at a quick pace, creating several scenes of nail biting revulsion and feet stomping annoyance when things don’t go as well as hoped. Tears Of The Reaper has a darker storyline than typically seen in erotic romance and I had very emotional responses to several of the situations. There were a number of shocking scenes and I would recommend to those readers who have sensitivity to violence against women read this with fortitude. While the twists and turns threw me for a loop, I felt connected to the characters and the many situations that mold their lives. I truly felt for Rachel and the torment she experiences; her eternal hope made me care about her. Owen’s strength of will and willingness to do anything to protect Rachel left me eager for a happy conclusion. The sex scenes are sensual, creating an obviously loving connection between Rachel and Owen. The secondary characters, which have been seen in the previous novels, are as three-dimensional as they have been in the past. As always, I loved Aingeal and her handling of Lord Kheelan; she has spunk and I love her attitude.

READER VIEWS REVIEWS

I found this book to be fast-paced, well-written and enjoyable to read. The author certainly knows how to quickly capture the reader’s attention and keep it there throughout the story. This well-written fast paced story of “Tears of the Reaper” will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.

FALLEN ANGEL REVIEWS

One of my favorite things about Charlotte Boyett-Compo is her willingness to write stories that have faulty heroes. She isn’t afraid to have her characters make mistakes that have traumatizing consequences. She doesn’t shirk on the gritty details of the lives the Reapers and their mates live. This gives the stories she writes a punch that you don’t see in much Erotic fiction. Here, not only does the reader read for the steamy love scenes, but they get drawn into the plot and the people. I always find myself rooting for the characters, because they are people that you can relate to and sympathize with.

The other thing I like about this book is how it helps build into the Reaper universe she had created. In this book you learn more about the Reaper’s goddess, and more about Owen’s history, two things that have been quite mysterious in the series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what Boyett-Compo is leading to!

JOYFULLY REVIEWED

Tears of the Reaper will have you engrossed from the opening. Charlotte Boyett-Compo weaves a story that tugs at the heart strings, and will have you rooting for all of the characters, not just Owen and Rachel. I read Tears of the Reaper in one sitting because I simply could not put it down. Between the fast paced action, and way I was drawn emotionally to the characters, I couldn’t stop reading down until I knew what would happen to Owen and Rachel. Ms. Boyett-Compo crafts complex characters that pull all the right strings to keep you reading and coming back for more. The story ended in such a way that I won’t be satisfied until I read book five because it’s not a traditional Happy Ever After, but gave me hope for one. While this is a stand alone story, I did enjoy it more having read Prime Reaper first. This story is not for the faint of heart as there is violence and some extreme cruelty done to the main characters. Tears of the Reaper will stay with you long after you read The End.

PARANORMAL ROMANCE REVIEW

TEARS OF THE REAPER WESTERN WIND BOOK 4 just proves a series can become better with each new story. Charlotte Boyett-Compo opens the world of the Reapers just a bit more with each new release in this series. The one thing I love about Charlotte Boyett-Compo’s books is how she pulls us into the emotions of the characters. We experience what they’re going through as we take the journey to true love with them. And while there’s always pain and loss, there’s also love. A love meant to be and one that will not be denied. And TEARS OF THE REAPER is no exception to this rule. We feel everything Owen goes through as he tries to save the Communalists, even though he hates them for what they have done to Rachel. This is one you just don’t want to miss.
