FALLEN ANGEL REVIEWS

TailWind is an interesting little story. Rozenn is a chatterbox and she drives Blaez crazy with all her questions. Blaez is a man not to be messed with, but with Rozenn he is gentle and caring--quiet the contrast. Ms. Boyett-Compo has created passionate and sensual characters. I liked this book so much because it took a turn I wasn't expecting. Already engrossed in the story, Ms. Boyett-Compo weaves in this bizarre plot twist that just enriches the tale. With an intriguing ending readers won't see coming, TailWind is a great read.

EURO-REVIEWS

Once again Ms. Boyett-Compo includes a heroine who isn’t cookie-cutter gorgeous, one who is more realistic and thus more appealing to many readers. Her hero is well-developed, and we learn much about his character and motivations. An Alpha male with a bad temper and a truckload of anger, he learns to be gentle with Rozenn, and his grief when she is assaulted is very appealing, as is his sudden need to heal and protect her.

JUST EROTIC ROMANCE REVIEWS #1

Tailwind packs so much action and story in just a few pages it left me breathless. Blaez is the ultimate bad boy. He isn’t afraid of anything or anyone. When he meets Rozeen, she is unlike anyone he has ever known. She is a plain but spirited woman with a sharp wit who isn’t afraid of him. She constantly challenges him and certainly doesn’t back down at all! Even though they seemed mismatched, the gorgeous alpha male and doughty, plain woman, their spirits are entwined. During the sensual sex scenes, their running conversation has plenty of wit but also an inkling of burgeoning love. The twist in the story was totally unexpected. Ms. Boyett-Compo does an amazing job of creating the twist without making the story feel rushed or incomplete. It takes a great writer to accomplish such a feat. Tailwind is an intense story that word for word had me hanging on until the very end.

JUST EROTIC ROMANCE REVIEWS #2

Blaez is a hard-bitten character who truly needs someone, but doesn’t realize his own need. At first Rozenn struck me as lacking sense, but things are wrapped up rather neatly by story’s end. I was surprised at how well these two characters accepted some events and would have liked to see them working through the events more before accepting them, but I was very happy with the way things turned out. There was one sex scene that was extra hot and battery worthy. The story really concentrated on these two characters with only minor appearances by others, but that really fit the story well. This story is illustrative of the power of inner light to reach the darkest souls and will be welcome by those who love to see that transformation is possible even in these bleakest of souls.

A ROMANCE REVIEW

I loved this story. It is hilarious, short, steamy, and it has my favorite type of character, WOLFIES!!!! (Well only one in this edition to Charlotte Boyett-Compo’s wonderful futuristic universe.) I laughed more by what came out of Rozenn’s mouth that I have with any other book in recent memory. I have always loved Mrs. Boyett-Compo’s books, but I think that this one is going to take the top seat for now. Rozenn is not the type of heroine you would expect for a badass WOLFIE; she is overweight and not very appealing in the looks department, but she has the most wonderfully sarcastic wit that I have had the pleasure to read. Tailwind definitely gets two thumbs up from me!

ROMANCE JUNKIES REVIEWS

TAILWIND is not your average paranormal/futuristic type read. There are twists and turns that the reader won’t expect, which make the book that much more interesting. Blaez is sexy with a major attitude and an alpha personality. Rozenn is strong willed and stands up to him when you expect her to play the meek heroine. The love scenes will melt your circuits and blow your surge protector. Charlotte Boyett-Compo is well known for her WIND series and this book is one that stands alone from that, but will certainly have readers searching out the other books she has written.

ECATAROMANCE SENSUAL
4.5 Stars
Charlotte Boyett-Compo takes a nun and a man with an evil past and forces
them to work as a unit. Passion soon develops, surprising them both. This
story has some really funny moments as Rozenn refuses to see Blaez as the
badass he is no matter how hard he tries to convince her that he is
dangerous. Ms. Boyett-Compo gives the reader a surprise ending that will
leave the reader breathless.

PARANORMAL ROMANCE REVIEWS
TAILWIND is an exceptional short story full of emotion. Once again, Charlotte Boyett-Compo pulls us in from the first page and doesn’t let go until the very last page. As with most of Charlotte Boyett-Compo’s books, we have a hero forced to endure more than anyone should have to go through. Our heroine as well has not lived an easy life. And we get to watch as the heroine not only tames the hero, but brings acceptance into his life. Even though a short story, it packs a powerful punch.

JOYFULLY REVIEWED
I was really looking forward to reading TailWind as I had heard a lot of great things about Charlotte Boyett-Compo. While the book was funny and the characters were quirky TailWind just did not live up to the hype. However, I will be looking for other longer books by Charlotte Boyett-Compo because in this short story I saw a lot of the things that grab me in longer works. That said TailWind is an entertaining read. Blaez and Rozenn are the sort of characters that are irritating but intriguing and all together funny. TailWind is a quick read for an afternoon when you want to be entertained, but not engrossed.

MYSTIQUE BOOKS

This story stunned me. It was an inversion of the norm and and it WORKED. What a Ride! We got to know Blaez very well, perhaps a bit too well for a rough-and-tumble renegade on the far reaches of the known galaxy. We didn't get to know Rozenn, our Heroine, well at all, pretty much having had her dumped onto our lap--much like what happened to Blaez. Suddenly she was there. For him: a stowaway. For us, a "huh?" moment. But we would soon understand why, and what a masterful stroke of story-crafting it was.
And the author has a good time tormenting our fiery Hero, and I say "Good for you, Charlee! It's time these Alpha men learned a few things about the softer side of their nature!" Ah, yes, and it is a love story.
TAILWIND is not a standardized Romance, in that the story structure is unusual and also that it's based in Blaez's point of view. Not much head-swapping here! Some readers may not like it. There are others, however, who will thoroughly enjoy the trip into Blaez's mind. A Fantastic Read, and not at all what I was expecting. I enjoyed it.
