Bailey is a coroner working for the government. She is interested in the resistance movement against that government, but more importantly, the leader of that movement is interested in her. He, however, is not the only one.

Van is one of the leaders of the dreaded shape shifting secret police. He has been instructed by Baileys powerful uncle to keep an eye on her. He is more than willing to take on that task permanently, if allowed.

In a world threatened by civil war, a young woman finds herself attracted to the Big Bad Wolf sent to watch her. When her uncle gives her to Van, she quickly gets over her fear of him.

This is a good beginning to what could be a great series. The characters are very well developed and sympathetic. Van is the perfect alpha wolf and Bailey has a lot of spunk. Her uncle, the Senator, is very much the politician, as is her would be lover, the leader of the resistance. The author has captured the chemistry between the two main characters, and her love scenes and dialogue are very good. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this new series.

REALMS OF LOVE

4.5 Crowns

Another world, another society, Charlotte Boyett-Compo draws you into a story about a planet where revolution hovers in the background, the elite feel the effects of prejuidice as keenly as the downtrodden, and where some species have the ability to span the human and animal worlds.

Bailey and Van have much to overcome. There is a feeling of "more" to come and this reviewer can't help but wonder if there will be additional stories of Bailey and Van dealing with the revolution, their opposite roles in society, and the deadly abilities Van possesses.

Read Spring Wind for an enjoyable foray into another world, where love just might be around the next corner. You won't be sorry you did.

JUST EROTIC ROMANCE REVIEWS

4.5 Stars

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Charlotte Boyett-Compo's, Season of Winds 1: Spring Winds. The plot is great; a futuristic setting with werewolves for the police and humans as second-class citizens--something of an eye-opener (LOL)--a little suspense and a whole lot of sensuality. Ms. Boyett-Compo did a great job making me squirm while Van was performing his pat down and I couldn't quite decide if I liked this scene or not. There's just something about scaring an individual that I can't see being a turn-on. Bailey leads a humdrum existence and wants to bring a little adventure into her life. But what she wants and what she gets are two very different things when she is hurt and frightened by Van. When Van informs Bailey that she is his, she can't even deny him. Van is infatuated with Bailey, ashamed of what he did to her and hopes that she can forgive him. I found it interesting to see them move beyond their first meeting to their first sexual relationship, then later on to the realization that they cared for one another. I'll certainly be on the lookout for the next book in the series, Season of Winds 2: Summer Wind, which I hope is scheduled to release shortly.

FALLEN ANGEL REVIEWS

5 Angels

Seasonal Winds 1: Spring Wind is a short story that's quiet potent. I enjoyed the brief glimpse into these two characters. Van is possessive and sexy, Bailey is innocent and sweet. Together they are a powerful combination. Charlotte Boyett-Compo is superb with character development. The compassion and sensitivity that Van shows Bailey is fantastic; he's used to having exactly what he wants, but he genuinely feels bad that he hurt her. Readers will wonder about this couple long after they've finished the book. Seasonal Winds 1: Spring Wind is a great start to what I hope will be many more related, captivating stories from Charlotte Boyett-Compo.

PARANORMAL ROMANCE REVIEWS

SEASONAL WINDS: SPRING WIND gives us a haunting look at a possible futuristic society. Charlotte Boyett-Compo does a wonderful job of drawing us into her future with her fantastic world-building. Once again, we have a tortured hero, used to doing whatever he wants, regardless of how brutal it may be, and heroine capable of taming him through the best of all possible mediums—love. After this one, I can’t wait to read the rest of the SEASONAL WINDS series.

MYSTIQUE BOOKS REVIEWS

SPRING WIND, an entry of Author Charlee's Seasonal Winds collection, is a delightful warewolf romp. Atop of that, however, is stunning world-building, the type of world-building that Charlee Boyett-Compo makes look easy but is stunningly breathless. One hardly realizes they are in an alternative world, and one that is built from a strong foundation. It takes more than strangely pronounced and italicized words to make an alien civilization, even if the landscape is notably "ours". Jayne Castle does it famously, and Charlee Boyett-Compo does it as strongly and with as deft a hand. I wasn't in my world while I was reading SPRING WIND, I was in hers. And it kept me there from page one.

The romance between Bailey and Van is quick, something to be expected due to the story's size, but is never-the-less steamy hot, Hot, HOT! What an Alpha! And Baily caught at my heartstrings. I'd like to think that I'd do exactly the same thing if in her position. And I'd hope to have a similiar outsome. Did I mention that the sensuality level was hot, Hot, HOT? Very much so. In fact, it steams for all it's brevity.

I believed the storyline, liked the character, and enjoyed the world-building. In fact, I dove straight into the sequel, a title called WINDWOLF.

Class Four sexuality and Five Mystique Moons. Good work, Charlee!!
